A detailed email will be sent out shortly in terms of what needs to be done next with respect to registration. We do ask that you commit to the LFLA by next Monday (November 25th) with a non-refundable security deposit of $250 (this will be in addition to the $215 that will need to be completed when registering for the LFLA Elite teams on the LF Rec website). Again, detailed instructions will be sent out to take you through that process.
For the players who were selected, the outline of the Winter/Spring programs are listed below.
For the players not selected, the Lake Forest Park and Recreation will be offering a House League in the Spring. The LFLA will also be sending out additional information on Winter lacrosse alternatives.

Brief overview of the LFLA Elite Program
· Teams will be comprised of approximately 22 players
· If you do not make the LFLA Elite Team, there will be a House League developed in conjunction with the Lake Forest Recreation Department
· There will be two components of the program:
o Winter Program (begin in December)
Ø U13/U15: Consist of two days of training at the Lax Centre as well as participating in a box league in January and February (Tuesday and Thursday)
Ø U9/U11: Consist of one day of training at the Lax Centre as well as participating in a box league in January and February (Tuesdays)
o Spring Program
Ø U13/U15: Will start prior to Spring Break with a “Boot Camp” in doors and then will begin outdoors 3X a week (M,W,Th) with league games on the weekend. There will also be 3 tournaments that we will attend in the Midwest Region
Ø U9/U11: Will start after Spring Break and will practice 2X a week (T,Th) and league games on the weekend. There will be 2 to 3 tournaments that will be attended
· We may also try to get each age group to play in a Winter indoor tournament, but this will be decided based on availability
· 2 paid coaches per team with previous coaching experience and college lacrosse experience – Beginning in Spring they will be coaching practices/games/tournaments
· Uniforms / Practice Gear
Estimated price for U13/U15 will be $1,000 plus uniform and for U9/U11 will be $800 plus uniform (this will be confirmed at parents meeting).
In a testament to the strength of the LFLA program, 12 LFLA alums will be playing on the Lake Forest High School varsity team this spring. The list includes 10 sophomores from the inaugural team and 2 freshman from last year's team. Sophomores on the team include Mac Altounian, Matthew Clifford, Liam Duff, Chase Horvat, Ryan Kitchel, Harry Larson, Jaxson Mills, Frank Nicholson, Gary Plaster and Mitchell Salanty. The freshmen are Jack Adams and Cole Johnston.
Additionally, three other 2016 LFLA alums will be playing lax this season. Carson Wardell will be playing at Phillips Andover, Ford Johnstone at Lake Forest Academy and Ian Griffith at Loyola.

Midwest Selct Lacrosse has ranked Lake Forest High School as the 5th best team in the Midwest. Many LFLA alums will be playing for LFHS this season. It shows that all of our efforts at the LFLA are beginning to pay off!
Midwest Select Lacrosse has named Lukas Munoz as oneof the top 20 lacrosse players in the Midwest. Lukas has coached with the LFLA for the last few years. He has also played on LFLA sponsored tournament teams. Lukas, a LFHS senior will be playing lacrosse for Bucknell University next year.
